- Define academic years (e.g. 2025–26) — one current at a time.
- Define classes (Nursery → XII) with numeric levels for sorting.
- Define sections under each class (A, B, C, …).
- Define subjects per class, with max marks and practical/theory flag.
- Switching the "current year" cascades to every other module — students roll over, exams scope correctly, reports show the right period.
- Past years remain fully queryable for historical reports.

- Custom grading scales — percentage, CGPA, A1/A2, letter, descriptive.
- Optional subjects, elective subjects, language streams, group selection (Science / Commerce / Arts).
